U & Me Camp

Come experience what’s not taught in school.

The truth is we want our daughters to lead amazing lives…

Venture along with your tween/teen into the lifelong 3B’s of women’s lives: body, boys & bonds.

U&Me Camp makes it simple and fun to be your girl’s source for support, advice and trust in the jr. high /middle school years & beyond. Aha!s guaranteed.

                                        Camp Includes:

Fun— Campfires, downtime together (no distractions), yummy food (no cooking!), art, s’mores (no calories) and lake-front cabins in the pine-scented air. Paradise!

Topic Details:

Body

Let’s face it–most women don’t like their bodies…and many never have. Even if you are one of the lucky ones who have made peace with your body, it usually takes years of work (and therapy). What if we gave our girls tools to appreciate, honor and even celebrate their bodies? What if they could see what is unique and special about their bodies and actually know how to accentuate it?

This is a critical time to start the positive appreciating…because no matter how much dieting (and even plastic surgery options) our shape is our shape and it’s with us for life. No trade-ins necessary!

 Boys

This is the age where boys all of a sudden drop onto the planet and take up a lot of space in our girls’ minds.  Our girls start wondering what makes boys tick in relationships…and we keep wondering this as women.  What if your girls learned about honoring themselves and boys to create a lifetime of good habits and relationship experiences?  What if they also learned the warning signs for unhealthy relationships so they would know to avoid one or get out (or help a girlfriend get out) before any serious damage was done?
This unique, fun approach to relationships is what Carolyn teaches women and men in her Getting the Love You Want and Deserve series.  And they always say, “This is so easy. I wish I’d known this.  This changes everything.”  Look out Moms—there’s something here for you too!
Bonds
We’ve all heard the “teen” horror stories (and some of us have lived them!).  And yet our girls are not  ready for the world at large.  They still need us, and sometimes that need is expressed in the worst ways. At camp you will invent the unique methods you and your girl will use to keep enjoying each other and to keep your lines of communication and advice-sharing open and working.  We have plenty of ideas to guide you.  Moms, you’ll also learn some tools for challenging times.  There is a happy way!
Barriers (as in overcoming them)
Sometimes a new setting and set of experiences lead to the most meaningful moments and memories.  That is what the ropes course is all about.  A rare opportunity to experience together, you and your girl with be paired in several physical activities for the sole purpose of developing and strengthening trust and confidence in one another.  Can you think of anything you would want to establish more than that for the years ahead?
 FUN!!!
You come to camp for fun.  You relate best to your girl when you are having fun together, not in the stressed out times in life.  Beyond campfires, s’more making and downtime, we have a few surprises that are intended to get us our of our analytical, left brains and into our creative, all-knowing right brains.  Our life Aha!s come when we are relaxed, not when we effort.  Camp always has surprises—isn’t that fun?!
