Money & Me
Sun, January 29, 2012, 2-5 p.m.
Boise, ID
There’s more to money than how much our girls get for allowance or how much they spend at the mall. And in a few short years they will be facing all of it.
How do you feel when the topic of money comes up? Excited? Confident? Powerful?
How do you want your daughter to go through her life with money? Will she follow in your footsteps…and is that a good thing? Will she be a good money steward, first and foremost for herself…or will money be an area of self-sacrifice and frustration?
Women make money like never before and collectively control over $4 trillion of spending, and still most women aren’t comfortable with money. Because feeling capable around money, earning high incomes and managing money hasn’t been modeled in previous generations.
Let’s face it–traditionally men have handled the money…and even today some women turn the money over to their man to manage…and sometimes women are trapped because of it.
Let’s give this generations of young women positive beliefs, practices and confidence around money!
Join Carolyn and Connie Eshelman, a financial advisor for teens and women, to explore the possibilities around your daughter’s (and your) money life: money mindset, money beliefs, money habits, money friendship and money stewardship.
You’ll leave with a money map that you’ve created together that sets her up for a wonderful money experience through life and tools she can use now and over and over again in her life.
Technology, Social Media & Me
Sun, April 22, 2012, 2-5 p.m.
Boise, ID
Technology and Social Media are a part of this generation’s daily life…and yet it can feel as if it’s taking over her life (and yours):
- It can be used as a cruel bullying weapon.
- It can become an addiction.
- It can lead to dangerous situations.
And yet technology also brings wonderful possibilities and opportunities to life!
How can your girl use it for the good in her life, avoid the bad and be in harmony with you?
Come explore together and figure out the best fit for the two of you and how she can get all of the good while avoiding all of the bad.
We’ve got fun exercises, tools, illustrative stories and some eye-opening news our experts will share with you.
When you leave, both you and your daughter will be excited about the technology possibilities in her life…and the energy you will save by having a path to manage it all.
Makeup & Me
Mon, July 23, 2012, 6-9 p.m.
Boise, ID
Makeup is part of most women’s daily wardrobe and our girls are experimenting with makeup now. As a part of fitting in. As a rite of passage. As something they hope will cover their zits!
Let’s help your girl learn to use it for her best advantage vs. just use it. Let’s make sure she knows that she is beautiful well before the makeup goes on–and that beauty goes beyond makeup.
Let’s help your girl shine uniquely!
Our experts will cover these areas in a very hands on, fun way:
- She will identify her best features and learn how to honor those vs. just do what everyone else does.
- She will learn about application techniques and options
- She’ll learn tricks to enhance when makeup is not an option, or she forgets it
- She’ll learn great skin care
- She’ll learn natural ways to support herself and her skin through great eating
Relationships & Me
Sun, Oct 28, 2012
Boise, ID
One of the biggest sources of angst for women is their friendships and their romantic relationships.
Turns out those are also the biggest sources of angst for our girls.
Our girls practice on relationships from the time they are little in their play. And then they practice on friends. And then the start practicing on boys*.
We learn at home what it means to be in a romantic relationship. Is it honoring? Is it healthy? Does it seem to feel good?
The best part is your daughter will decide if she is to model after you and what you have created in your romantic relationship(s) or if she is going to use your example to choose differently.
In this session we have the tools to help her explore what is possible with boys and later with men:
- How does she keep from melting into him and losing herself?
- How does she balance friends when she has a boyfriend too?
- What boundaries does she need to keep herself physically and emotionally safe?
- How should she expect and request to be treated?
- What’s not okay in a relationship and what to do about it?
- What is the perfect man for her when it comes to relationships?
We’ll also clear up and clean up any issues she might already have (or wonder about) while laying the groundwork for a fabulous future.
We wholeheartedly believe in the adage “Happy Wife, Happy Life.” Let’s help her live up to it!
* We wish to acknowledge that not all girls are heterosexual, though for this workshop we will be exploring heterosexual relationships.
